The Millennium Bridge as a metaphor for Trump
The common challenge for all my clients isn't Trump, tariffs, Ukraine, China, European spending, higher realised volatility or anything else people might be worried about.
In this 'Age of Agitation', the common challenge for all my clients is too little time to think, and next to no time to read.
Comprehending the headlines is one thing; dealing with the torrent of commentary on every headline or every tick is another.
Yet the torrent of commentary never stops.
The world's most successful investors don't need another opinion.
In order of importance:
1) they need someone they trust to listen to them with intent.
2) then for that trusted advisor to gently remind them of what they know to be true.
3) and last - where appropriate, where necessary - for that trusted advisor to tell them what to do.
Given the calibre of investors I've long worked with, Aitken Advisors LLP has always been (and will always be) authorised and regulated by the FCA (UK).
I am not going to post on every market wrinkle, or wobble, for that would be disrespectful of their - and your - time. Nor offer endless trade ideas.
The primary challenge for investors in this noisy, confused, too often hyperventilating world is to remain calm, confident, energised, focussed, knowledgeable, anticipatory and always in control.
The endless commentary - on everything - makes it more difficult for investors to solve that challenge.
Across the last two weeks, I have recorded podcasts with (founding clients in 2009) Marc Rubinstein and Danny Moses, as well as Jack Farley.
The intent of those conversations was not 'what?', it was 'how?' as in how to think about the various issues of the day.
Over coming days and weeks I shall share some of the highlights.
